Sentisphere opens onto an Everglades-like wetland at the hour when the sky can’t decide if it is ending or beginning.
Pink presses into gray as deep fingertip grooves sculpt the sky’s thick paint into place. Far in the distance, a watchful wall of trees contains the scene like a quiet, sacred secret.
In the foreground, lily pads and long wet stems rise through the surface. No animals are visible, but the place hums with their presence, something always shifting just out of sight.
Hundreds, maybe thousands, of small orbs, fireflies or something else, give Sentisphere its namesake. They illuminate the landscape from within, turning the marsh into a field of suspended thought. The glow is soft, collective, and strangely benevolent.
Nothing dramatic happens. No spectacle announces itself. And yet the air feels charged with a possibility that is either perfectly natural or just beyond what language can pin down.
The painting holds that uncertainty without resolving it. It asks whether this is simply a wetland at dusk or a place where consciousness gathers like light.
