The Urban Collection long began before Iris relocated to New York in 2014. A restless desire for the energy of the city sparked a series of paintings capturing rain-slicked streets and glowing traffic lights, a prelude to her urban exploration. Over the six years she lived in Brooklyn, the series deepened, transforming streets, rooftops, and skylines into compositions alive with color, movement, and light. These works pulse with the rhythms of city life, and bold use of color, especially capturing the reflection of light on wet city streets.
