Pilgrims of the Invisible - Original

Just finished a new original, and I'm crazy about it. The paint is still wet as I write to you now. The painting began as a vision of two figures drifting along a desert path, their midnight forms carved from shadow. Velvet boots crunch gravel and sand as they meander through sage and yucca, their long coats bloom with embroidered night gardens. Lavender shadows stretch across the pale yellows, joined by a third shadow—an ambiguous silhouette—perhaps a tree, maybe a saguaro cactus, perhaps someone out of frame.

This painting is about questions more than answers. Are we witnessing a ritual? A farewell? A procession replayed in oil and dust? Every inch of the surface is woven with texture, finger-carved ridges of thick oil catch the light like desert topography, as if the work itself had been unearthed from the sands it depicts.

I hope it invites you to wander with me through this mysterious sunlit landscape and find your own interpretation within its shadows.
