Gypsy - Original

Gypsy takes the familiar vase of flowers and lets it misbehave. Stems refuse containment, escaping the vessel and reaching outward like limbs caught mid-dance. Below them, the vase itself begins to lose its composure: its bands of color ripple, buckle, and vibrate, as though the object is slipping between solid matter and pure sensation.

There is something almost bodily about it—a still life that refuses to stay still. If a vase of flowers could have a personality, this one would be the dancer: unruly, theatrical, and impossible to contain. Against the restrained gray field and quiet taupe tabletop, that exuberance becomes even more pronounced. The setting holds steady while Gypsy seems ready to dance right out of it.
