Thelma and Louise - Original

Thelma and Louise recast the still life as something unruly, atmospheric, and almost delinquent in spirit. Against cool gray grounds, stems bend like gestures caught mid-conversation while blossoms fracture into ribbons of coral, mint, cream, and electric violet.

The vases themselves seem less like containers than events: melting, vibrating, dissolving into painterly interference and bands of liquid color. Borrowing their titles from the iconic outlaw duo Thelma & Louise, the paintings quietly rebel against the polite tradition of floral arrangement.

These are bouquets that refuse composure. Form slips in and out of abstraction, petals behave like brushstrokes, and the entire surface feels driven by instinct rather than obedience, as though the flowers have escaped the rules of still life painting altogether.
